This might be one of the most badass Honda Super Cubs we’ve ever seen

There’s simply no other Honda bike that’s more iconic than the Super Cub. The world’s best-selling motorcycle has lived on throughout the decades. And while we don’t get to see its modern-day iteration ply our roads, we still have plenty of well-kept classics that we get to see in motor shows and the like.

Some of these classics, though, have already undergone major transformations. Not that it’s a surprise, seeing as the local motorcycle scene’s filled with custom bikes. Anyway, the case in point is this custom C70 from Laguna-based shop Iron Macchina Customs.

You may have already seen the work of these people here on the Top Gear Philippines website. We’re talking about that sick Royal Enfield Himalayan that surfaced a while back. This one’s a bit toned down compared to that one but it’s also a lot much classier.

The Cub here—which is owned by a certain Dondy Barrios—has been completely rebuilt from front to end, featuring a sweet red-on-black finish. The black fairings, the headlight, and even the small wooden plank up front all seem to have custom touches. The bike also gets bar-end side mirrors, a sleek seat with a rounded grab bar, and a pair of chunky tires underneath.

Iron Macchina Customs says the engine here is stock but has been restored—that’s a 72cc air-cooled, four-stroke, single-cylinder powertrain, in case you were wondering. The carburetor, filter, and exhaust have all been replaced, too.
